Very ripe fruit, almost decadent aromas. Blackberry and currant. Mushroom and earth. Toasty oak. Full-bodied, very velvety and rich, with loads of fruit and very ripe tannins. Chewy and powerful. Youthful and slightly closed still. But what a palate. It's got all for the future.--1997 Italian blind retrospective. Best after 2009. 2,220 cases made.

Everything is here. Mineral, licorice, berry and meat aromas. Full-bodied, yet dense and refined. It coats your mouth, but gratifies every inch of your palate. A masterpiece. Best after 2007. 2,220 cases made
