One 750ml bottle of the Excellent and Very Rare 1969 Vintage of Hospices de Beaune's , VOLNAY - Cuvée General Muteau , by the Excellent Burgundy Grower, Domaine E.Brocard & Fils. In Burgundy, there are some truly great Domaines and then there is the Hospices de Beaune. L' Hospices de Beaune is the Historic Hospital and Generous Charitable Institution in Burgundy(Beaune). A world reference for Burgundian wine. The different appellations that make up this incredible domaine have only ever been inherited with the cuvée usually carrying the name of the generous donator. These parcels are from the Best sections of each commune - the historic owners, often famous locally, have always owned the Best ground. On the Third Sunday in November , the famous auctions at the Hospice de Beaune, Auction off all of the years wine, with all of the proceeds Benefiting the Hospital. Volnay is the Excellent, * * * * 4- star Region in Burgundy. It is between Pommard and Meursault and usually produces the Best Red Burgundy of the Cote de Beaune. Volnay is neither Dark or Heavy, but Superbly Structured and Very Silky and Elegant. It is Burgundy at its finest. This Rare 1969 Vintage has been rated a perfect 5 out of 5 Stars by Michael Broadbent, famous Wine Author and Critic. Here is what he says about the 1969 Burgundy Vintage, " Red Burgundy - 1969 - * * * * * - A Superb Vintage, and not unlike 1949 in its Style. Unfortunately still somewhat Underrated, 1969 being tainted by Bordeaux's poor reputation. The 1969 Wines are of a Higher Class, which have the Body, Tannin and Acidity for Long keeping - being the first year of such quality since 1966. A Vintage that Constantly Surprises and Delights. " Michael Broadbent. This Rare Bottle is in Mint Condition and is in Commercial Storage. Thank you for Looking.
