One Very Rare 375ml Bottle of the Extremely Rare and Excellent 1955 Vintage of Chateau Petrus. Chateau Petrus is the Famous Property in Pomerol that produces Wines of Power and Smoothness with Incredible Concentration. This Excellent 1955 Vintage has been rated a High 91 Points by The Wine Spectator Magazine . Here is The Wine Spectator's Review , " 91 out of 100 ....... A Very Ripe Style, with an Abundance of Tobacco Fruit, although not as Concentrated as the '59. Lovely Silky Finish. -Petrus vertical. Drink now to 2025. " - The Wine Spectator Magazine. Its hard to believe that one of the world`s Rarest and Most Expensive Wines was virtually unheard of 30 years ago. It was only when the Mouiex family bought a half share in the property in 1962 that its True potential began to be fully realised. The 11.4 hectare vineyard is located on a plateau on the highest part of Pomerol in the far east of the appellation. The vineyards lie on well-drained Clay-Rich soil with Gravel and `crasse de fer`/impermeable iron-pan as the subsoil. 95% of the vines are Merlot and some of these are 70 Plus years old. The Wine of Chateau Petrus is Extraordinarily Rich, Powerful and Concentrated, often with characteristics of Chocolates, Truffles, Asian spices and Ultra-Ripe, Creamy, Black Fruits. It is usually approachable after a Decade or so in Bottle, but the wines from the Very Greatest Years will continue improving for many more Years to Come. This Bottle has been perfectly stored and is in Mint Condition and in Commercial Storage. Thanks for looking.
