One Very Rare 750ml Bottle of the Infamous and Extremely Rare 1964 Vintage of Château La Mission-Haut-Brion. This Rare Bottle has been Rated a Very High 93 Points by Robert M. Parker , of The Wine Advocate Magazine. Château La Mission-Haut-Brion is the Greatest Graves Wine after Haut-Brion and in some Vintages is considered the Superior Wine of the two. La Mission-Haut-Brion is situated just across the road from Haut-Brion in the Commune of Talence in the southern suburbs of Bordeaux. Since 1983, both Properties have been under the same ownership, Domaine Clarence Dillon S.A. La Mission-Haut-Brion's Vineyards (Cabernet Sauvignon 48%, Merlot 45%, Cabernet Franc 7%) lie on a Large (up to 18 metres deep in places) gravel bank interspersed with clay. The Wine is fermented in temperature-controlled, stainless steel vats and then Matured in Oak Barriques (100% new) for 18 months. The Wines of La Mission Haut Brion are Rich, Oaky and Powerful and need at least 10 Years of Bottle Ageing before they should be Broached. Here is The Wine Advocate's Review of this Rare 1964 Vintage , " 93 out of 100 .......... Curiously Overlooked when Great La Missions are discussed. 1964 was another variable year throughout Bordeaux , with the Fall Rains washing out many of the Famous Vineyards , particularly in the Medoc. The 1964 La Mission is a Big , Powerful , Rich , Tannic La Mission , with an Enormous Concentration of Fruit , and Full-Intensity. Spicy , Cedary , Earthy Bouquet . Along with Château Petrus and Cheval-Blanc , it is one of the Three Best Wines of the Vintage. Drink it over the next 25 Years . " --- The Wine Advocate Magazine. This Rare Bottle of La Mission is in Mint Condition and is in Commercial Storage. Thanks for looking.
